Small hidden gem in this small plaza. Its all the way towards the end. Tried Al pastor tacos and the meat was good a bit crispy but no problem and they automatically add guac. Their salsa all were soo good and comes with cooked nopales and cebollas on the side. Tried the tostada de ceviche and it was sooo good and refreshing . It was a bit spicy but great nonetheless. Its a spot you definitely need to try , does get busy friday evenings but I see why

Oh my gosh such a hidden gem!!! Don't let the parking lot that it's in detour u! Lol. The ambience and cleanliness inside is a perfect balance of good energy, quality a fun yet relaxing environment. The oysters or fresh and delicious. The fish tacos and shrimp tacos are out of this world. Tried both fried (Baja style) and grilled. The shrimp I liked grilled better the fish I liked Baja style better. The servers are super sweet and friendly and on top of their game. it's good people and great food and I'm picky lol

This place is the bomb, so far it's my fav place for Mex food and the portions aren't skimpy at all. Highly recommend!!

The food here is truly amazing. It taste like food that you get from the vendors in Tijuana. Very authentic and delicious. . It's a must try. The only issue is they lack customer service. The girl behind the register is typically not friendly at all so you must go there with tons of patience. At the end of the day, it's worth putting up with a little bit of rudeness for the best food ever! You must try the Carne Asada tacos, the Pozole is amazing and make sure you get your grilled onions and nopales

10/10 food Fish tacos must try. It is a bit spicy but we loved it. Chicken burrito was on point too. Must visit. Vibe is chill.

Great tacos al pastor Service ok ! They charge me one extra taco but I called back and they return my money right away. Music is really loud I guess this why we don't eat there but food is always amazing !

Corona has it going on for unique takes on tacos, and El Rey is worth seeking out. In a recessed mini plaza off 6th Street in the old town, my recommendation is to go before the lunch rush. I dined in both times I visited, and the quality of the food and sides is amazing. Grilled cactus and onions, salsa choices ranging from medium to quite hot, and a wide range of side veggies. It's definitely a popular place, and the steady flow of people is testimony to their quality. They were grilling a bunch of chicken the first time, and it got smoky inside until someone opened a door. My house special burrito had both carne asada and al pastor inside, and everything was perfectly cooked and assembled. I blended two salsas and loved it all. My second visit a week later was equally enjoyable and slightly more expansive. I'd like to try something from the mariscos menu in the future. Until then, go here and try a new take on old favorites.

On our way to Joshua Tree, we stopped here for a quick bite. There were many meats that I was unfamiliar with and so of course, I wanted to try them but most of it was pork. Una lastima para mi. The lengua was my favourite. Everyone was really happy with their orders. Though note that the bean and cheese burrito has a LOT of cheese - it's very heavy both in weight and will make you feel like your arteries are shutting down. Don't forget to order the nopales!
